Recently on Thursday, January 24th 2008, Sayyid Mohammad Baqir Kashmiri was invited by the University of California, Irvine, International Studies Program in the School of Social Sciences, to discuss the role and vision of Ayatullah Sayyid Seestani of Iraq. He was joined by Sayyid Haider Bahar al-Uloom, who aided in translating Sayyid Kashmiri's Lecture and Responses to Audience Questions.

The delegation is headed by his Honorable Sayed Murtadha Kashmiri, representative of the Supreme Jurist Grand Ayatollah Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani (may God prolong his life.) In the delegation also, Sayed Abd al-Hadi al-Hakeem, and Dr. Mohammed Amer.
