Is Khums wajib upon the university student who took out loans to study and is now paying back the student loans yet his surplus does not come near the amount he owes in student loans? For example, he owes 50k in student loans and this person makes 30k a year and the surplus left is 5k.
If he is no longer a student, then Khums is due on his surplus.
