My Orphans – Khums Donation
In accordance with the directives of the Office of Grand Ayatullah Sayyid al-Sistani, I.M.A.M. allocates 50% of designated Khums contributions directly to orphan welfare. Through direct programs and trusted institutional partnerships with I.M.A.M., your contributions provide thousands of orphans with vital meals, clothing, healthcare, and education throughout the year.
Note: While Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) traditionally defines an orphan as a child who has lost their father and has not reached puberty (bulugh), I.M.A.M. extends its humanitarian assistance to support these youth up to 18 years of age. We share this policy so donors can align their intentions (niyyah) with the full scope of our care program.
