Is it permissible to get vaccinated with vaccines that contain pig components?

Is it acceptable to get vaccinated with vaccines (e.g., flu) if they contain pig components but are injected directly into the blood stream? What about the vaccine as a nasal spray for children?

There is no problem with injecting the vaccine. As for the nasal spray, if you know it contains components from pigs, and further that it didn’t undergo a chemical transformation, then it is not permissible if it enters the passage of eating and drinking. However, there is no problem if it only enters the respiratory tract.
