Do you mean that Khums is due on NEW gold jewelry that was not worn for a year? How about gold ounce (1 thin rectangular brick), which cannot be worn as jewelery: Is Khums due on it? If so, and we still have debts, do we have to pay khums?
There is no zakat on gold that is not coinage or stamped money, which means there is no zakat on jewelry and bricks of gold. With respect to khums it is required on gold whether jewelry or bricks that are unused for a year.
