Birth Anniversary of Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (p), 1443 A.H.

20th of Jumada al-Akhira, 1443 A.H., marks the birth anniversary of Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (p)

Imam al-Sadiq (p) is reported to have said in response to why Lady Fatimah (p) was called al-Zahra:

“Because whenever she stands in her place of worship, her light illuminates for the people of heaven like the stars illuminate for the people on Earth.”

سأل أبا عبد الله (ع) عن فاطمة (ع)  لم سميت الزهراء؟ فقال

“لأنها كانت إذا قامت في محرابها زهر نورها لأهل السماء كما تزهر نور الكواكب لأهل الأرض”
