Monday, June 17 marks the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is Eid al-Adha

We congratulate the believers on this auspicious occasion.

Why do Muslims sacrifice animals on Eid al-Adha?
We have been commanded to be kind to all animals, and even the person who harms a sparrow is, per a tradition attributed to the Prophet of Islam (pbuh&hp) in “Bihar al Anwar,” will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection. So how is it that we are encouraged to slaughter cows, sheep, goats, and camels on Eid al-Adha?
