Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Al-Sistani Sends Condolences on the Passing of Ayatullah Shahroudi

Honorable Hujjatul-Islam Sayyid ‘Alla al-Hashimi al-Shahroudi (may Allah continue his successes)

As-Salam ‘Alaykum wa-Rahmatullahi wa-Barakatuh

We received, with pain and sorrow, news of the passing of your honorable father, His Eminence Ayatullah Sayyid Mahmoud al-Hashimi al-Shahroudi (may Allah grant him a blessed final abode).

During this difficult time, we offer our deepest condolences to you, and indeed, to all the respected associates of the late Eminence, the members of the Islamic Seminary in the sacred city of Qom, and all those who loved the dignified departed, and now pray for him. We ask Allah to raise him in the company of his purified forefathers and succor his family with patience and great reward.
