Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Hasan ibn Ali (p)
Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan ibn Ali (p), 7th of Safar, 1440 A.H.
Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (p) is reported to have said:
“Teach others your knowledge and learn the knowledge of others; you will master your knowledge and learn something which you did not know.”
[Al-Arbaly, Kashf-al-Ghumma, vol 2, p. 194]
The 7th of Safar also marks the Birth Anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (p), however, due to the season of mourning which continues from Muharram to the end of Safar, this occasion is not celebrated festively in the Islamic Seminaries.
