Sayyid al-Khabbaz Visit – Study and Discussion at SAIS of Johns Hopkins University
The School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), a division of the Johns Hopkins University, welcomed His Eminence Sayyid Monir Alkhabaz in a special academic congregation attended by top researchers in the school.
His Eminence Sayyid Alkhabaz discussed the important fields and provinces of progress in the Imamia school that make it a progressive school that adapts to changes in every age and place, including the fields of philosophy, jurisprudence, logic, adjudication, and government. His Eminence presented a briefing along with examples about each of these fields in an interesting and thorough way that piqued the interest of participants and increased their appetite for inquiry and discussion, making the allotted two hours not enough to cover all the critical and important subjects of discussion.
Several participants showed their delight and appreciation for what His Eminence had to offer, asking for more meetings of this type for a better understanding of the Imamia school and its role in the advancement of human knowledge.
The meeting was organized in collaboration and coordination with I.M.A.M. and the Institute of Shia Studies in Washington, D.C. His Excellency Sayyid M. B. Kashmiri also attended the meeting along with Dr. Abbas Kadhim, who elegantly performed the roles of conductor and interpreter.
