The Anniversary of the 40th day of the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (p), 1446 A.H.

Sunday, August 25th, 2024, marks the anniversary of the 40th day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (p), 1446 A.H.

Imam al-Sadiq (p) is reported to have said:

“If the residence of any of you is remote and the distance of your home is far [from our graves], then go to the highest place of your home and offer two units of prayer, and then make a gesture of salutation towards our graves for this will surely reach us.”

“إذا بَعُدَتْ بأحَدِكم الشُّقَّة ونَأتْ به الدّار فليَعل أعلى منزلٍ له فيصلّي رَكعتين وليؤمَّ بالسَّلام إلى قبورنا، فإنَّ ذلك يصير إلينا”
