Islam’s concept and formulation of justice is comprehensive and all-encompassing. As such, it directs and ensures that the rights of each person are preserved and that no individual is neglected based on race, ethnicity, religion or socioeconomic status.

Thus, environmental justice is an integral element of Islamic justice because it so profoundly determines how people live and interact with their environment, and how the changes in the world around impact people.
