Are a wife’s prayers valid if she upsets her husband?

I came across a quote by Imam Imam Jaffer Sadiq, saying “Whenever a wife spends a night as her husband is upset with her, none of her prayers will be accepted until he is pleased with her again” (Tahzeeb Aal-e-Muhammad PBUH, page 126). What about those conditions when the husband is in wrongdoing? Is this quote applicable on all couples, irrespective of their conditions and circumstances or does this hold exceptions for situations when the wife might not be in the wrong directly?

This applies in the case where the wife has neglected her husband’s rights which resulted in his dissatisfaction. Keep in mind that there is a difference between worship being valid and being accepted. Meaning, if a wife neglects her husband’s rights her prayers are still deemed valid and she does not have to make them up, but she may not be entitled to reward for them as they have not been accepted by Almighty Allah.
