Can I eat kosher food?

I am a convert to Islam from Judaism. My family is observantly Jewish- keeping kosher, praying regularly, observing the holidays, etc. Can I share meals, etc., with my family?

It is not permissible to eat meat that has not been slaughtered according to Islamic laws. However, you can share any food with your family provided that it does not contain meat unless you are certain that it is slaughtered according to Islamic laws.

Note: Kosher meat is not impure (not najis), therefore you can remove the meat from the food and eat it
