How come it is permissible to lift a bed with a sick person and push a baby carriage with a baby in it, but it is alcohol on the bed and the baby carriage, but it is not permissible to drive a car with a person and his alcohol in it or carry a bag with alcohol and food in purpose to helping person?
Lifting a bed in itself is permissible, pushing a baby carrier in itself is permissible. However, if it is part of the agreement to carry the alcoholic beverage, then it is not permissible. If the alcoholic beverage happens to be there and you cannot remove it, there is no problem in lifting the bed or pushing the baby carrier. As for driving a person who has alcohol with him, as long as the transporting of alcohol is not part of the agreement, there is no problem, but if you are able to request the person to get rid of the alcohol- as a way of forbidding the evil- then you should do so. The same ruling applies to help a person carry a bag.
