Position Summary
The Graphics Designer will be responsible for creating compelling visual content that communicates IMAM’s mission, strengthens its brand identity, and supports its digital, print, and marketing initiatives. This role requires creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail to ensure consistency across all platforms while meeting the diverse design needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Branding & Identity
- Design and refine logos for programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital and print platforms.
- Develop and update brand guidelines (color palettes, typography, imagery styles).
Marketing & Advertising Design
- Create graphics for digital ads, campaigns, and social media.
- Develop marketing materials for events, programs, and organizational outreach.
Print Design
- Design layouts for brochures, flyers, presentations, and reports.
- Produce business cards, stationery, and packaging designs.
- Create large-format graphics including roll-up standees, backdrops, and banners.
Digital & Web Design
- Design thumbnails and promotional graphics for the website and social media platforms.
- Create flyers and landing page visuals for campaigns and events.
- Develop graphics for outdoor LED signs and indoor digital displays.
Publications
- Design book covers and interior layouts for published works.
- Handle typesetting and layout for long-form publications and reports.
- Produce infographics and data visualizations to simplify complex information.
Motion Graphics
- Design and animate graphics for organizational announcements and campaigns.
- Support video production with graphic elements, lower thirds, and animated assets.
Creative Strategy & Research
- Conduct competitor and trend research for inspiration and innovation.
- Contribute ideas to campaign planning and overall creative direction.
- Test and iterate designs based on performance and audience engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of professional design experience (nonprofit or faith-based experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Knowledge of design for print, digital, and motion graphics.
- Strong sense of typography, color, and layout.
- Familiarity with branding and brand guidelines development.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with UI/UX design and web graphics.
- Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar collaborative design tools.
- Knowledge of pre-press and print production standards.
- Photography and photo editing skills.
- Experience in Arabic/Islamic calligraphy or cultural design elements (a plus).
- Arabic proficiency is highly preferred
