I.M.A.M., the liaison office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in North America, is glad to announce to the believers that it will be hosting Ayatollah Sayyid Monir Alkhabaz in the United States from November 26 until December 14, 2015.

The trip of His Eminence Sayyid Alkhabaz to the United States will be covering three domains in need of his attention, knowledge, and advice. These three domains are: public gatherings that are organized by I.M.A.M. on the occasion of Arbaeen and that are broadcast live to the believers in different states, student clubs established by students from the Gulf, and research centers in American universities.

The following are some of the most important places that His Eminence will visit:

·      Washington, DC:

o   The Institute of Shia Studies

o   The School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University

o   College of Law and Religion Studies

·      Michigan:

o   Commemoration of Arbaeen at I.M.A.M.

o   Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo

o   University of Michigan in Ann Arbor

o   Ahlulbayt Islamic Center in Saginaw

o   A meeting with scholars, leaders, and social figures at I.M.A.M.

·      New York:

o   A visit of the halls and institutions at the headquarters of the United Nations, particularly those related to human rights and culture

o   A meeting with the Arab community at the Imam Al-Khoei Foundation

·      Houston:

o   Al-Mustafa Center at the university campus and the International Medicine Center, a meeting with students from Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and other cities.

o   A public meeting with the believers at the Al-Rasool Al-Akram (S) Mosque

·      Oklahoma:

o   A discussion with students from the Gulf countries who will come from various cities such as Norman, Wichita, Tulsa, etc. at the AhlulBayt Islamic Center in Oklahoma City

·      Colorado:

o   A meeting with students from the Gulf countries and the community of believers at the Al-Mustafa Islamic Center in Denver.

·      Oregon:

o   A meeting with students from the Gulf countries in Corvallis, along with those who may visit from Portland

·      Virginia:

o   A meeting with Gulf students in Richmond and Washington, D.C. at the Al-Zahraa (as) Center in Richmond

·      Philadelphia:

o   A meeting with Gulf students from several areas such as New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, etc. at the Imam Ali Center.

·      New Jersey:

o   A speech and public discussion with believers at Masjid-e-Ali Mosque.

I.M.A.M. is honored to be hosting His Eminence Sayyid Monir Alkhabaz and preparing his trip schedule. We hope his stay is agreeable and pray the believers will benefit from what he has to offer.

It should be mentioned that one of the most important activities and functions of I.M.A.M. is the hawza liaison function, which aims to strengthen the relationship of believers in the United States with the Islamic seminaries. I.M.A.M. has been privileged to occasionally invite and host top scholars from Islamic seminaries in order to serve the believers and enrich the intellectual arena.
