Friday, October 27th, 2017 marks the Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (p) & the Birth Anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (p),
7th Safar, 1439 A.H.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (p) has said,

“When al-Hassan (p) was about to die, he wept. He was asked, ‘O grandson of the Messenger of God, why do you weep when you have such a position with the Messenger of God [and so many good things are said about you]? You have performed Hajj twenty times on foot and distributed all of your belongings among the needy three times exactly.’ He replied, ‘I weep for two reasons: It is the fear of resurrection and separation from loved ones.”

(Al-Kafi, Vol. 1, Ch. 115)

A ray of happiness, during a time of profound sorrow:
The birth anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (p)

‘It is reported that Imam Musa al-Kadhim (p) used to supplicate a great deal and say, ‘O God! Indeed I ask You for ease at the time of death and pardon at the time of accounting [Day of Judgment]’, and he used to repeat this several times. [Also] among his supplications were, ‘The sin of Your slave is great, so graceful will be the pardon from You.’ He used to weep out of fear of God until his beard was soaked with tears. He used to be most diligent with maintaining relations with his family and kin. He used to visit the poor of Madina at night, for whom he would take a basket of gold, silver, flour, and dates. He would deliver all this to them while they did not even know it was from him.’

(Shaykh al-Mufid, Kitab al-Irshad, Part 2, Ch. 6)

I.M.A.M. sends condolences to the 12th Imam, Imam Mahdi (p) and the believers on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan ibn Ali (p).
