National Open Mosque/Masjid Day
I.M.A.M. is excited to announce a meaningful opportunity for community engagement through the National Open Mosque/Masjid Day, scheduled for November 16-17. This event encourages all mosques, Islamic centers, and schools to open their doors, fostering interaction and connection with individuals of all faiths and backgrounds.
This is a noble initiative that a fellow organization started and needs to be promoted based on the vision and objectives of the SSAF initiative. Thus, we at I.M.A.M., in compliance with the “Advice” of his eminence grand Ayatollah al-Sayyid al-Sistani (may Allah prolong his life) and other jurists, urge all North American mosques/Masjids, Islamic centers, and schools to join National Open Mosque/Masjids Day.
The National Open Mosque/Masjid Day aims to build bridges of understanding and foster interfaith dialogue. Attendees will have the chance to meet imams and community leaders, explore Islamic traditions, and ask questions in an environment of mutual respect and cultural exchange.
We’re honored to share that prominent institutions across North America have already committed to participating, including:
- Masjed-e Ali, Somerset, NJ
- IEC of Husaini Association, Chicago, IL
- Islamic Shia Ithn-Asheri Jamaat, Toronto, ON
- Islamic Center of America, Dearborn, MI
- Shia Association Of Bay Area (SABA), San Jose, CA
- Baitul Ilm Academy, Streamwood, IL
- Anjuman-e Ahlebayt, St. Louis, MO
- Imam Hussain Islamic Center, Brooklyn Center, MN
- Baitul Qaem, Delran, NJ
- Ahlul Bayt Society Islamic Center, Columbus, OH
- Ahlul Beyt Mosque, Pomona, CA
This initiative is embraced by both Sunni and Shia institutions, demonstrating widespread support for fostering unity and understanding.
Following the guidance of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah al-Sayyid al-Sistani and other respected Marjas, I.M.A.M. encourages all Islamic centers, mosques, and schools across North America to join this noble effort. Together, let’s continue to strengthen bonds of friendship, collaboration, and shared humanity.
