About I.M.A.M.:

I.M.A.M. is dedicated to strengthening and supporting Shia communities across North America through strategic initiatives aimed at community growth and development, as outlined in our Blueprint for the Shia Muslim Community of North America. Our vision is to bring the Blueprint to life by focusing on key areas that address the current needs and challenges faced by our community members.

Key Projects:

  1. Educational Advisory Group: Develop and support educational initiatives, including the creation and implementation of a homeschooling curriculum that meets the needs of Shia families.
  2. Business Counsel: Provide guidance and resources to support the entrepreneurial and business ventures within the Shia community.
  3. Legal Counsel Advisory Group: Offer legal advice and services to assist community members with various legal matters.
  4. Shia Professionals Network: Facilitate professional development through webinars, networking events, and mentorship opportunities for Shia professionals.

Position Summary:

I.M.A.M. is seeking a motivated and dedicated young professional to lead and coordinate these projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong faith (Iman) and exemplary character (akhlaq), along with the ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure the successful execution of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of the above-mentioned projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, volunteers, and community members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, business leaders, legal professionals, and Shia community organizations.
  • Organize and facilitate webinars, meetings, and events to support the growth and development of the Shia Professionals Network.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the I.M.A.M. leadership team.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for new initiatives and propose strategies to address emerging community needs.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Community Development, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Community Engagement Experience: Demonstrated experience in working with community organizations or groups, preferably within the Shia or broader Muslim community.
  • Educational Program Development: Experience in creating and implementing educational initiatives or curricula, with a focus on community or homeschooling education.
  • Business or Legal Acumen: Basic understanding of business development, entrepreneurship, or legal advisory services to effectively support relevant community groups.
  • Event Coordination: Experience in planning and organizing events, workshops, and webinars, including logistical coordination and participant engagement.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders and community members.
  • Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of the cultural, religious, and social dynamics of Shia communities in North America.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using digital tools and social media platforms for communication, outreach, and community engagement.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and report data to evaluate program effectiveness and impact.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skills in mediation and conflict resolution to navigate community concerns and facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to work independently in a virtual environment, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to managing diverse projects and tasks.
