The students of the Al-Murtada Institute met with Sayyid M. B. Kashmiri during his visit to headquarters in Dearborn. Al-Murtada Institute is a five-year educational leadership program that aims to build religious leaders of the future.

Shaykh al-Halabi, the supervisor, started the session by welcoming Sayyid M. B. Kashmiri and giving a brief overview of the program. Sayyid Kashmiri shared his appreciation of everyone’s hard work and efforts  and shared his experiences and concerns with the attendances as well the complete picture of what they should work on and implement in order to serve the community for the upcoming decades  andto make wonderful, important contributions as an American Shia Muslim community in the West.

The session ended with a variety of questions and answers relevant to youth concerns and challenges. The students seemed very excited about the discussion and impressed with the long-term projects of I.M.A.M. that will rely upon youth for implementation.
