Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri delivers the keynote address.

In a televised grand opening ceremony, attended by religious scholars, public officials, community members, and local media, the Imam Hussain (p) Islamic Center opened its doors to the community on January 7th, 2017. As part of the ceremonious proceedings,  Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri, Chairman of the Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya, was invited by the Boise community to deliver the keynote address.

After leading congregational prayers, Sayyid Kashmiri presented the volunteers, recognized for their support in the establishment of the center, with gifts and accolades. He then joined with center representatives and attendants for a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In his keynote address, Sayyid Kashmiri addressed the Boise community and distinguished guests. He discussed a wide-range of topics, including who Shia Muslims are, the necessity and importance of establishing community centers, preserving religious identity, the role of American Shia Muslims in presenting genuine Islamic values to others, and the responsibility of teaching genuine Islamic principles to youth.

As the ceremony concluded, Sayyid Kashmiri congratulated all of those who supported the center financially, and those who worked tirelessly, day and night, toward its establishment and opening, for their tremendous success.
