Although our desire is to be present in Karbala on the day of Arbaeen to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (p), it is not always possible. Yet, this should not stop us from visiting him and the other martyrs in our hearts and minds. The ziyarah of Arbaeen can be performed from anywhere, and its power to drive us forward is even more potent when we understand its significance and meaning.
