What is the ruling on getting buying a house in Muharram?

Some believers engage in practices that may not be considered appropriate (e.g. getting married, starting a new project, moving to a new home, wearing ornaments, ‏ buying new clothes, etc.) during the months of Muharram and Safar as well as the sad occasions of Ahl al-Bayt. What is the religious ruling on such practices?

Engaging in such practices is not forbidden except if they are considered disrespect to the occasion (e.g. establishing joyousness and adorning oneself on the tenth day of Muharram). Yet, on the sad occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt, believers should not engage in actions they would normally avoid or postpone if they were grieving for personal reasons unless it is absolutely necessary. Instead, one should choose a time [to engage in those practices] that does not compromise the sacredness of those periods of mourning/sorrow.
