بيان تعزية بمناسبة وفاة المرجع الدّيني آية الله العظمى السّيّد محمد سعيد الحكيم

The Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya (I.M.A.M.) extends its most sincere condolences to the Imam of our time (may God hasten his return), and to the Islamic seminaries and their head, the supreme authority, Grand Ayatullah Sayyid al-Sistani, and to all the believing men and women, especially in North America, on the passing of Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Mohammed Saeed al-Hakeem today, Friday the 3rd of September 2021, the twenty-fifth day of Muharram 1443 A.H. and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain al-Sajjad (p).

Sayyid al-Hakim left this worldly life after more than eight decades of devoted service to Islam, the spread of knowledge, and the strengthening and fostering of the seminaries, scholars and believers. He did this while enduring the oppression of the previous regime because of which he and a large number of his family and students were unjustly imprisoned and treated without mercy for eight years without any reason except that they belonged to the true religion and the school of Ahl al-Bayt and demonstrated steadfastness in upholding the foundations of the Islamic Seminary to serve the religion and the believers. He was diligent in teaching and educating, even while in prison, where he taught and graduated a significant number of scholars, preachers and speakers to different parts of the earth during this time.

May God bestow His mercy on our dear departed Sayyid, whose departure from this life is a loss for the Islamic world because he was truly one of the great Muslim scholars with abundant knowledge. We ask God Almighty to grant him the highest rank next to the Prophet (pbuh&hp) and his purified household (pbut), and to grant patience and reward to his family, students, lovers, followers, all the believers, and to prolong the lives of our scholars of Islam, for He hears the prayers and answers them. There is no power or strength except in Almighty God.

I.M.A.M.
