Video Editor Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our Digital Content team. This role is perfect for a creative professional who thrives on transforming raw footage into powerful, visually compelling stories. From cinematic storytelling and social media clips to corporate content and event coverage, you’ll play a key role in shaping our visual narrative.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit high-quality video content for various formats, including cinematic storytelling, documentaries, corporate videos, and social media.
  • Craft seamless narratives through smooth transitions, precise pacing, and compelling visual sequences.
  • Ensure brand consistency, creative integrity, and technical excellence in all edits.

2. Color Grading & Correction

  • Perform advanced color correction and grading (DaVinci Resolve or equivalent) to enhance tone, mood, and visual consistency.
  • Apply LUTs and color adjustments to align with the project’s creative direction.

3. On-Set Video Production & Technical Support

  • Record video content as needed and operate cameras, gimbals, stabilizers, and tripods.
  • Set up lighting (e.g., three-point lighting, softboxes) for cinematic quality.
  • Ensure high-quality audio capture using microphones, boom mics, lapel mics, and sound mixers.
  • Manage video file organization and transfers between production and post-production.

4. Storytelling & Content Structuring

  • Assist with storyboarding and developing narrative structures for projects.
  • Select and organize footage to create a compelling emotional and visual arc.

5. Multi-Software Expertise & Workflow Optimization

  • Work proficiently with Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Export and optimize videos for YouTube, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized file system to ensure efficient workflows.

6. Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Collaborate closely with creative leads and team members to bring projects to life.
  • Adapt to creative feedback and make revisions while maintaining artistic integrity.

Preferred Bonus Skills

  • Thumbnail & Cover Design: Experience creating engaging YouTube thumbnails and promotional visuals.
  • Photography: Skilled in capturing and editing still images for video or social content.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Familiarity with short-form video trends (Reels, TikTok, etc.).
  • Live Streaming Production: Experience with live stream setups, overlays, and camera switching.
  • Podcast Production: Knowledge of podcast recording, editing, and visual asset creation.
  • Motion Graphics: Ability to design high-quality motion graphics using Adobe After Effects or Fusion.
  • Template Editing: Experience customizing pre-built motion graphics templates (e.g., Envato, Motion Array).
