Shaykh Hazem al-Zirjawi

Shaykh al-Zirjawi graduated from Baghdad Technical Institute in 1986. He migrated to Iran and joined the Islamic seminary of Qom in 1988. There he completed the introductory (muqaddimat), intermediate (sutuh), and advanced (kharij) classes under prominent scholars. He finalized his studies in jurisprudence (fiqh) under His Eminence Ayatullah Shaykh Mirza Jawad Tabrizi, and he completed his studies in principles of jurisprudence (usul al-fiqh) under His Eminence Shaykh Hussain Wahid Khurasani. He had a strong interest in theological and philosophical studies, attending advanced sessions under His Eminence Sheikh Jaafar Sobhani and Sayyid al-Haidary.

Shaykh al-Zirjawi taught different levels of seminary classes in Imam al-Sadiq Seminary in Syria and Imam Hussain Seminary in Canada, and he continues to teach in the United States. He also teaches the required courses of the Islamic University in London to its affiliated students in the United States.

He wrote many research articles on different religious and educational affairs, and has two unpublished manuscripts. One manuscript examines the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and the other discusses the different philosophical schools (Al-hikmah al-mutaliyah, Al-falsafa al-mashaiyah, and Al-falsafa al-ishraqiah).

He has been preaching for religious occasions for over two decades, giving many sermons and lectures.

He is a religious scholar, teacher, researcher, and lecturer at I.M.A.M.
