On Monday, August 10, 2026, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia, the strongest in more than a century. Hundreds are dead and thousands are injured or missing. Families are sleeping outdoors and communities near the epicenter remain cut off.

Shia Muslim families are also among those affected. I.M.A.M. is in direct communication with Islamic scholars and their communities in the region to ensure assistance reaches those most in need.
