Sayyid Sameer Ali

Sayyid Sameer Ali is a dedicated religious scholar, educator, and advocate for integrating Islamic principles with mental health and overall well-being. As the Director of Islamic Pastoral Care at I.M.A.M., he brings together theological expertise and clinical training to address the spiritual and psychological needs of Muslim communities.

A graduate of a six-year traditional seminary (Hawzah), Sayyid Sameer further strengthened his academic foundation with a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Stanford University. Over the past decade, he has served as a resident scholar and a sought-after speaker across North America, while also contributing to scholarly research on Islamic manuscripts and intellectual history.

He is a board-certified chaplain with over ten years of experience providing compassionate pastoral care in hospitals, universities, and community settings. Deeply committed to bridging faith and mental health, he has obtained a M.A in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (University of the Cumberlands-CACREP), equipping him to offer culturally sensitive, faith-informed wellness support to the Muslim community across North America.
