Sayyid Sameer Ali is a dedicated religious scholar, educator, and advocate for integrating Islamic principles with mental health and overall well-being. As the Director of Islamic Pastoral Care at I.M.A.M., he brings together theological expertise and clinical training to address the spiritual and psychological needs of Muslim communities.
A graduate of a six-year traditional seminary (Hawzah), Sayyid Sameer further strengthened his academic foundation with a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Stanford University. Over the past decade, he has served as a resident scholar and a sought-after speaker across North America, while also contributing to scholarly research on Islamic manuscripts and intellectual history.
He is a board-certified chaplain with over ten years of experience providing compassionate pastoral care in hospitals, universities, and community settings. Deeply committed to bridging faith and mental health, he is currently pursuing advanced studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, equipping him to offer culturally sensitive, faith-informed wellness support to the Muslim community across North America.
