Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya (I.M.A.M.), a nationwide religious American Shia Muslim organization, is seeking to fill a full-time or part-time Editor position. The ideal candidate is professional, dedicated to serving the community, and brings advanced editorial experience along with a background in Islamic religious terminology and concepts.

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that all published material is clear, consistent, complete, and credible — and that text is well written, grammatically correct, and accessible to its intended audience. The successful candidate will bring their education, experience, and editorial judgment to bear in support of I.M.A.M.’s mission and core functions, working across a range of publications including books, booklets, summaries, pamphlets, announcements, blogs, and articles, all in accordance with I.M.A.M.’s established style guide. This role also requires the ability to thoughtfully leverage AI-assisted tools as part of the editorial workflow, while exercising independent professional judgment in all final editorial decisions.
