Is it haram to get the names of the holy Ahlulbayt (p) tattoed on my body, even if my intent is to show my devotion to them?
1. One should avoid tattoos, and in the case of a woman she must not reveal it in front of a non-mahram man. As for getting the names of Ahlulbayt (pbut) as a tattoo, it is permissible provided that it does not entail an infringement to their sanctity. In addition, based on recommended precaution one is not permitted to touch their names [written in Arabic] without being in the state of purity.
2. If one is fully immune from falling into sin when conversing with the opposite gender, then it is permissible. However, one must be aware that usually friendship between two opposite gender people leads to sin, even if it is in the form of laughing, gazing with lust, etc. Practically, friendship with the opposite gender should be avoided, and only limited to necessities like work or school.
