Position Overview

I.M.A.M. is seeking a qualified Editor to join its Publishing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and committed to serving the community through high-quality content. This role is responsible for ensuring that all published material is clear, consistent, accurate, and accessible to its intended audience.

The Editor will work across a range of content, including books, articles, announcements, and digital publications, while upholding I.M.A.M.’s editorial standards and style guide.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency
• Ensure all publications align with I.M.A.M.’s style guide and editorial standards
• Review a variety of materials, including books, booklets, blogs, articles, and announcements
• Maintain consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting across all content
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine and finalize content
• Utilize AI-assisted tools responsibly while applying independent editorial judgment

Qualifications

• Strong editorial and proofreading experience
• Excellent command of written English and grammar
• Familiarity with Islamic terminology and concepts
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience working with editorial tools and workflows (AI tools a plus)
