About This Style Guide
This handbook presents an abridged version of the editorial guidelines I.M.A.M. uses across its publications for writing and presenting Islamic and Arabic terminology. In response to requests from scholars and organizations, we are making this version publicly available for broader use.
Institutions, publishers, writers, and authors are welcome to adopt these guidelines in full or in part. We encourage collaboration toward a unified standard. When Islamic and Arabic terms and concepts are presented consistently across publications, the result is greater clarity, professionalism, and credibility in both academic and public discourse, particularly for non-Muslim writers, researchers, and editors navigating this terminology for the first time.
